Plastisol

These are dispersions of PVC plasticizer without solvent.

The final appearance can be smooth or striated and can be embossed. Plastisol paints exhibit, as their main quality, exceptional adhesion in highly-corrosive atmospheres, but they tend to chalk when exposed to sunlight. They are used mainly in the Nordic countries and where thicker paint coatings are required for the stability of structures potentially subject to the action of fire (plastisol flame retardants).
